Perhaps you should double check you don't have a setting like Letterbox/PanScan/Scale/Auto somewhere in you TV or set top box that has been set wrongly. My satellite box has this, and weirdly PanScan is the correct setting, not Auto! I think I've seen similar settings on TVs too. -- Brian Gregory (in England).
