by "really suck" assume you mean super high vacuum,

by "vacuum" assume you mean house hold vacuum cleaner

in that case is is bad, because high vacuum requires excellent seals at 
high rate, so a house hold application will burn out the seals in short 
order as the dust and dirt...

AND your flow rate will be very poor.  there is a trade off in design 
between how high vacuum, flow rate, particle size, motor size, cost etc.

however, if you mean by "vacuum" you have a vacuum in a bottle

and "really sucks" means it is a insufficient vacuum or contaminated vacuum.

in that case, you can get to a higher vacuum using a rotary vane pump, 
or diffusion pumps

if diffusion pump;  but don't open the door to the vacuum chamber and 
let all that atmospheric O2 in to greet the hot oil !!
