VSEPR is not "long-disproved". It is a very useful model.

Yep, because it's like a tetrahedral jack from a game of jacks with two 
of the pins (the lone pairs) invisible. The other two and the hub form a 
shallow V shape.

I never said the universe's curvature was predominantly positive. It's 
asymptotically flat, to the best of our ability to measure. With local 
pockets of positive curvature around gravitating masses. Which I seem to 
recall having said before. Clearly you didn't understand the claim at 
the time, and misinterpreted it.
