It's under Faculty and Staff which as any schoolboy knows means the 
teachers (Professors) and the admin staff.

The students don't use Linux Desktop Crapware either, it's Windows and 
Macs all the way.

Yet every recording studio from the smallest in my local town to Abbey 
Road use Mac hardware and software.

Nope, I just visited the Stanford University web site. It's really easy 
to find all this information, searching their site for the keyword Linux 
however brings up SFA. That's how unimportant it is to them.

Windows or OSX.

Wrong.

I didn't use Google. I don't defend Microsoft, it's crap in some areas, 
those weak areas are filled by Linux servers or Macs. I'm not as stupid 
as you are as to believe that one OS can do everything perfectly.

You are the one desperately flailing around and searching for any small 
crumb of Linux usage.
