" Good article but I have to mention one thing: it seems to be incredibly easy to get hardware working in GNU/Linux if a person runs a Macbook. I assume that it's because many of GNU/Linux's users use the operating system through that. As such, they've made an effort to support everything correctly. However, it's not the case for all computers and his experience doesn't extend to everyone. A student of mine last year also had a lot of luck with Ubuntu on his Macbook Pro. In fact, he ended up favouring it over OS X though that's not difficult considering how awful OS X is. - -- Slimer EFF & OpenMedia member / IFAW, Mozilla & PETA supporter -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQEcBAEBCAAGBQJWi+o8AAoJEIwFfgf/rr+uyfQH/2Sc8QHWqTgAOpPNfP0a2/j/ DHE8vYYtG2bgxyUe8ig22rEnHFETFMym0DpmopfxIBTXyhTKi7IbVgdQDSsSajG7 wSHZ5rGHwE7BxEdZvPJwvud1OBwsA6fpGMIimSH8yx36TTDqQTG5ibGaF7VIoEXk ws1s3t8/Xin/PkcFdwYC2JWmMe6OWRrGqAtf0gQ2n9f/Ze6hF1ZS+Dws35thoGFr 9OjBmIF3FM/xQqCxw+7joY8FFXwx5VYt1RxMSWpQJLCN7DwtfJ2bNrAGBQ8sQoSx tc9cu4/gIe7wF/EY1BvsjysiqTKfSn7kMSAA2t1bMyXO6/nrim0vUUJDXVIX5h4= =36LN -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
