Und was soll ich innerhalb des Desktopbereichs mit für Touch-Bedienung
und kleine Screens optimierten UIs anfangen?
Aufgabe eines Unternehmens, das dem Konsumenten ein bestimmtes Produkt
verkaufen will, sollte es eigentlich sein, ein Produkt anzubieten, das
den Bedürfnissen des Konsumenten entgegenkommt, und nicht den
Konsumenten dazu nötigen, ein Produkt zu kaufen, das der
Unternehmensstrategie entspricht. Das geht halt nur, weil MS ein
quasi-Monopol für weite Bereiche der Desktop-Anwendungsszenarien besitzt
und deshalb dort kaum Konkurrenz fürchten muss. Die Aussage, man könne
ja Alternativen benutzen wie Linux oder MacOS sind Scheinargumente, weil
die Abhängigkeiten vom  Soft- und Hardwareumfeld bei komplexeren
Anwendungsszenarien so groß sind, dass nur nur Windows einen relativ
schmerzfreien Zugang zum gewünschten Anwendungsfall bietet.
