Not that big a problem -- I just want a belt+suspenders check for the Garmin :-) My Rand McNally road atlas doesn't talk either. FWIW, the Garmin is stupid. It wants the address ordered state/number/street/city and takes a godawful long time to search for a city with that number and street. Maybe the update (which I have to use the windows machine for) will fix that -- I think my previous Garmin (the one that tried to kill me TWICE) did it the right way. -- Cheers, Bev
