After I have looked at the code I didn't see anything wrong,
sp pasted it to, (always open;) QTc and ran. The answer: 0
was a surprise to me:)

Alla_ has done identical mistake in his previous thread.
It can be habit from a computer algebra system.

Code in mathematica:
square := side^2
side := 6;
Print[square]
side = 100;
Print[square]

it will returns:
36
10000
