So if it > can be printed, it can be saved as a PDF. > The same is true for linux, which also has print to PDF and Print to PostScript in its print dialog Linux has also the added capability to directly create PDFs from many file formats by right clicking in the file browser on such a file and select "create PDF", which also can have several destinations for that PDF. Those files can also be files created by applications which don't have any print capabilities
