But this is a file I was using at the time, which kept all the changes, even after I closed and reopened it from within Access. But then, once I closed Access and went back into the file, all my changes were gone. So I don't think it's a question of that the file was renamed after I closed out of Access (though I guess that's a possibility), but that the changes were never written to disk, but somehow were stored in memory.
