Since I'm not running 10.10, I don't have direct experience. However, go 
to the current panel of Macintouch's Yosemite discussion
<http://www.macintouch.com/readerreports/yosemite/index.html#d02may2015>
and search for 'hidden' (5 hits) or 'interface' (55 hits). Objections 
cover both the system as well as iTunes, Mail, and Photo. Of course, not 
all of them are complaints, but you'll get the idea of folk's dislikes.

Also if you Google for 'yosemite interface ugly' you'll get about 64,000 
hits. (I didn't add 'ugly' to the search spec. Google suggested it, 
presumably because so many people entered it.)
