Arch is great, if you want to "roll your own", it has a high learning 
curve, and is only KDE.  Unfortunately, Red Hat has jumped on the systemd 
bandwagon, along with Pulse Audio and some other crap.  Also, Arch is a 
rolling release, which is good, but you have to be careful that the 
"rolling" stuff doesn't break your system.
I prefer to stay with releases that give you the 10 year support, that is 
why I am sticking with Scientific Linux 6.x until 2020.  When that EOD 
date comes, then I hope and pray that SL 8 will fix the crap that SL 7 is 
filled with.
