	I think it is best on a machine with only a single hard
drive on board to back up the / et al after an update and /home
whenever you have a significant addition.
	But I often am satisfied to copy off files to my data
partitions as I add them to /Downloads.

	I am not saying I do this but that it is easily done
and should be done.
