yes, it tend to be "simpler", of course you will be cut off from your 
intranet.

As I don't know how your setup looks like, but I assume that some of the 
devices you have are wired connection to the route, those will of course 
be inaccessible.

I would recommend you to check that out and don't leave your computer 
hooked to the phone wifi hot-spot all time, there could be background 
stuff that runs and could easily use up the phones allowance.

It says that specific models that supports 802.11ax (wifi6) and has a 
firmware version
- Firmware between 3.0.0.4.388.23000 and 3.0.0.4.388.29999.
- Any version beyond 3.0.0.4.388.31900
- Any version beyond 3.0.0.4.386.69019

On the Android phone enable the "USB tethering" option and plug it into 
the routers USB connector and it should be it.

On iPhone go to "Personal Hotspot" and enable "Allow others to join"
plugin the phone to the routes USB port and on the phone you will have a 
question if you trust the computer, press "Trust".

I do think I had similar functionality in my old Asus N66U, so I would 
check your router manual if it supports usb tethering.
