I think we can blame the overly-helpful clipboard of OS X as much as we 
can blame Unison.  Part of the problem may lie in OS X's assumption 
that everybody should be able to read Unicode.  Might be wishful 
thinking - after all, Unicode was finalized just recently, in 1992.
