I can't get a link that lets me save a bookmark in either Apple maps, Google maps, or Safari, much less save a bookmark to the iPad's desktop, which was often useful. In fact, I have several such on this iPad Air's desktop that were saved on the old iPad and transferred with everything else when it was set up from the latter's last backup. I'm afraid to sync the old one now, however, for fear i'll lose something the sync of the new one might have changed. -- Erilar, biblioholic medievalist with iPad
