No guarantees, but try this:
Preferences, Composing tab.
For sending, select plain text.
For responding, turn OFF the option to copy their format.
At work, I've had Outlook on XP and Win 7 for years. I have NEVER had
any trouble with Mac's inline images sent to myself from home.
