Lots of reasons:
1.  The <script> element embeds JavaScript, but does not execute it.
2.  The JavaScript must be embedded before it is executed.
3.  In JavaScript, there is no int statement.

Note that your for loop does not achieve anything.

Try:

<script>
function myFunction(a,b)
{
   return a*b;
}

function updateDemo()
{
   for (var i = 0; i< 10; i++)
     document.getElementById("demo").innerHTML=myFunction(4,3);
}
