When people instal a new OS on a laptop, the most common handicap
or delay seems to be OS-specific drivers for whatever is unique or non-
standard in the laptop hardware. (Linux-experienced users often find
Linux helpful in the search for essential drivers.)

Much bloatware is conveniently removed by software from
www.pcdecrapifyer.com (for which many thanks.) This presents a
menu of what it considers bloatware, including some MS peculiarities,
each of which can be checked to remove or keep installed.
