I have defended those extensions in this group, to be insulted by the clique of thompson, heathfield, and you with "off topic" complaints, or whatever The new people coming to this group do not have the context, and afer all this years of efforts (and expenses) I have no money and energy left to go on. People like kuyper or thompson, that have NEVER contributed a single line of code can say anything they want. My compiler remains popular, and each day I have thousand downloads or more since YEARS. My compiler system has gone beyond the million downloads years ago.
