After many years, I'm finally getting to grips with GUIKit. I've
solved nearly all the problems with the little application I'm
developing, except one. I want, essentially, to mock up a widget
equivalent of a FileNameSetter: that is, a "Browse..." button whose
action is to launch a FileDialog. Something along the lines of

ref = GUIRunModal[
  Widget["Panel",
   WidgetGroup[{Widget["Label", {"text" -> "Source notebook"}],
     Widget["Button", {"text" -> "Browse...",
       BindEvent["action",
        Script[GUIRunModal[Widget["FileDialog"]]]]}]},
    WidgetLayout -> Column]]]

But this totally fails to work: launching a widget from within a
widget isn't cool, it seems. The messages are

GUIKit`Widget::deferr: =AB JavaObject[javax.swing.JFileChooser]=BB is not
valid GUI definition content. >>

GUIRunModal::nvalid: The GUI definition contains invalid content. >>

I can't escape the conviction that I must be being very dim. Can
anyone put me out of my misery?
