Here are t simple facts about Trump and his shutdown and ego-wall: * The Democrats back improved physical barriers * Trump and his enablers cannot back that his additional desires would offer much benefit * Trump accepted blame for the shutdown * The Republicans mostly did not even back his request for funding (hence why he did not get it in past years, and polls back this) * Trump's wall would have bad ecological impacts he ignores * Trump's wall would require using eminent domain to take land from US citizens * Most illegal immigrants do not cross the border illegally * The Democrats are offering to fund border security to the same level Republicans did last year * The claim of an "emergency" is not based on anything that has been emergent... and is thus a lie * We DO have real emergencies which have not been dealt with, such as water in Flint and disaster relief in Puerto Rico and California. Trump has withheld funds for these * We have an immigration system that can make people wait decades to get visas, which leads to a black market immigration system, much as a 20 year waiting period would increase the black market for guns * The Democrats are offering Trump as much as his own party did. The idea they refuse to negotiate is a lie. I am happy to keep the focus RIGHT THERE, on those facts. None of your dodges, lies, homophobic attacks, or any other BS. Just focus on those facts. But you will not. This is 100% predictable. -- Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They cannot use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel somehow superior by attacking the messenger.
