They do... but I will agree they focus on looks over function at times. My big examples is making the iMac so thin. I get it on a mobile computer, but a desktop? Makes no sense. Make it a bit thicker and then allow users to more easily swap hard drives and RAM as needed. >>> Other than that, Apple is a huge waste of money in my opinion. >>> And reliability and serviceability sucks big time. I love the iMac screens but as I said above there is certainly stuff about their hardware I do NOT like. For me it is more about what I can do with a system... and I tend to "live" in the GUI and jump from program to program a lot. It takes the idea of doing that in the UNIX CLI and brings it to a large extent to the GUI... and to me that is of great value. With that said, here I am working on a really, really crappy Usenet client because that is the best I can find on macOS. I could use a CLI one, but prefer GUI programs. For some things the macOS programs are FAR from ideal. >>> That's why most people get Apple Care, which I will admit is excellent. >>> They really do take care of their customers. Does not pay off for each computer I have owned but overall it has. And if I have an issue they pay for someone to come to my house to fix it if I want... even though there is no Apple store within 100 miles of me. -- Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity.
