But maybe the reason no time traveller from the far future has come here is that there is no far future from which to come - civilisation wipes itself out - humans become extinct due to natural disaster, etc. Or if time travel can only occur through 'time tunnels' constructed forwards, there can be no travel to an earlier date than the first tunnel. -- Mike D
