Verizon, family of 4:
4 phone access @$20/ea = $80
4Gb Data shared = $50
8Gb+2GB/phone on account = $70

So for $80 access and $70 data, total $150, the family of four could share in 16Gb of data, about $50 less than you 'superior' cut 'n paste job.  Pretty similar to T-Mobile's new plan for a family of four.

Now if that family of four decided to add a tablet, on Verizon that is $10/tablet, on T-Mobile that is $20/Tablet.
