There is actually no guarantee, such future experiments will behave as expected and eventually things turn out to be very different than we think. So 'quantum gravity' is a possibility, but by no means a must. I personally assume, that the standard model of QM is wrong - mainly because I think, the idea of particles itself is wrong. But what do you think about my proposal to create particles out of spacetime? This would also be a connection, but would connect QM from the GR side (and not from QM to GR, as you assume). TH
