Bei VSS kann man angeben, wieviel Platz man für Schattenkopien vorhalten möchte. Und wann und wie oft Snapshots gemacht werden. Man kann einen Snapshot auch löschen. Dasselbe könnte man auch mit lvm oder btrfs oder zfs unter Linux machen. Aber wenn ich das bei NILFS richtig verstanden habe, macht das halt nicht zu bestimmten Zeiten Snapshots sondern schreibt *alle* Änderungen in ein Log.
