Genau, das mit der Baudrate, Start-, Stop- und Parity-Bit usw.

Mir fehlt noch ein Link auf die RS232 Spezifikation, deshalb kann ich 
über deren genauen Inhalt nichts mehr sagen. Damit steht aber nur Deine 
Ansicht im Gegensatz zu allem, was ich an Sekundärliteratur finden konnte.
