What you do is perpetuating a certain idea and refuse to question it. So 
people will tell you over and over again, that nukes produce a blast and 
that was not observed.

A pressure wave is an expanding front with higher pressure. This will 
throw things in radial direction away from the centre.

But a nuke has also the opposite, that is an implosion. This implosion 
is actually, what causes real damage.

Now imagine such an implosion, but without explosion.

This sounds a little strange, but this is apparently the mode of 
operation of certain advanced weapons.

It is this 'starwars' kind of stuff, about what little is known.

But we could estimate the direction, from where the destructive forces 
originated. That was mainly from above. This would make the destruction 
start at the top and leave certain remains at the bottom.

'Underground nukes' have mostly the opposite characteristics, hence this 
assumption does not fit to observation. E.g. the garage in the basement 
was almost completely intact.

So you should eventually reconsider you idea.
