Die Wehrmacht ist in den ersten Kriegswochen nämlich so schnell vorgerückt, daß der Nachschub abriß. Dieser Not gehorchend haben sie sich dann veschanzt, und damit stand die Front und bewegte sich nicht mehr. In dieser Situation hätte keine der beiden Seiten irgend etwas gewinnen können – allenfalls hätte man sich auf unabsehbarer Zeit gegenseitig Schaden zufügen können. Dann aber führten die Gegenseite eine neue Waffe ein, den die Deutschen noch nicht kannten: den Panzer! Feddich – DAS war’s!
