Does UoK actively find placements for the students > or is it left to them to figure out on their own? We have a departmental placement office, staffed by two experienced careers/graduate recruitment people (unusual, even within UoK). They provide steering to apply for the right jobs, but they are all applied fo compettitively (competition can be worldwide sometimes). Students can also suggest suitable placements (one went to work for a relative in Delhi). Salaries range from about £12000 for the year (East Kent) to £52000 (a certain bank). This is for a single placement year. Some of the jobs are really interesting. Some of the Cisco people worked on OpenStack, for example. I mention that to keep this vaguely on-topic. -- Use the BIG mirror service in the UK: http://www.mirrorservice.org My posts (including this one) are my copyright and if @diy_forums on Twitter wish to tweet them they can pay me £30 a post *lightning surge protection* - a w_tom conductor
