If a system increases in entropy over time, then we should expect the state of that system to become less predictable over time. Therefore, the modern conception of time being the 4th dimension, and this arrow of time meaning an increase in entropy, may not sit as well together as we would prefer.

In the image above, I show the geometric proof for binomial expansion to the 4th power. 


If this were a physical system, and there were an increase in the entropy of this system over time, then one would expect the mathematics of binomial expansion to break down over time. With each power we introduce another dimension in which the expansion can unfold. 

How do we reconcile binomial expansion with the 4th dimension in modern physics without ignoring the second law of thermodynamics ?
