The comments after the article point out that there are motherboards that
have VGA connectors, so the article may be wishful thinking.
I don't see it disappearing.
I have a bunch of LCD monitors I've found on the sidewalk. All have VGA
connectors. One or two have DVI, none have HDMI. I am not scrapping them
(at least not till something better comes along) so it's no longer the end
of VGA.
The cold reality is that whether it disappears or not is dependent on what
the end user decides. If they fuss about that lost VGA connector, it
won't be gone. If they give in and scrap the old monitors because the new
computers lack the connector, then they've let the VGA connector
disappear.
