Professionals working for a brand are not at liberty. They can not give you a professional advice that goes against the brand rules. Example. The plastic piece of a car fan where a screw or bolt fixates the fan to the car body broke. The official dealer would replace the entire fan. I glued the thing with a fibre glass composite cement, which lasted years till I scrapped the car. I commented my repair with the mechanic. Sure, that will do, but we are not allowed to do it, simply because we can not vouch the mandatory warranty period on it, nor that it will not cause any damage.
