Tcc's treatment is a bit of a cheat, as its windows.h file is one header
of 26K lines, while gcc's windows.h file involves nearly 100 headers,
hundreds of nested #includes, and 200K lines (all IIRC).

Did you try optimising? Ie. use -O1, -O2 or -O3 flags.

I can't remember the exact gcc compilation speeds, but it might be
something over 10K lines per second unoptimised, and maybe 3-5K lines
per second optimised. (Tiny C might be half a million. All timings apply
to my PC.)

So on small programs of a few hundred lines, the differences are not
significant, except the overheads of gcc (start-up time etc) might be
noticed.

(On Windows I tend to use my own C compiler, which is perhaps half the
speed of tcc, but generated code is a little better, so 59 seconds vs.
tcc's 69 seconds for this test.)
