Only if you can't spiel correctly.

Those spam callers seem to be using phones which smear the
sounds together.  Diction is not taught anymore and people
seem to talk veryfastsothatthere'snopausesbetweenwords.
Even the young interns on the local radio station have
no diction and talk without spaces.
