With the advent of the PC, human computer users had to learn about hard/software and do the work which system analysts, operators, field servants, computer administrators, network support groups, purchasing, and other work related to keeping a computer system functional. Requiring thses same people to know monitor, compiler, and app internals is too much. Anyone who denigrates system owners who don't know about machine language is a snob and, therefore, cannot be a good OS, compiler, or app developer because of an incapability of knowing what their customers need. /BAH
