They know damned well that someone who doesn't live anywhere near their 
venue isn't going to spend a ridiculous about of time and money fighting 
a $200 ticket.  they depend on that.  Appealing a verdict probably wasn't 
even an option once the judge ruled on it.  I'd just be throwing good 
money after bad.  

This is the principle by which our whole country operates now.  They can 
pass some blatantly unconstitutional law and say "don't like it?  Get an 
attorney!"  Even the Supremes do it.  The Citizens United case allowed 
the Koch Brothers and a few others to literally buy the Government, and 
there isn't a damned thing we can do about it once it passed the 
Supremes.

Several politicians, including Crooked Hillary, pledged to unwind the CU 
ruling, but that's what butters their bread... there's no way any of them 
want it changed.  That's why your vote means next to nothing.  The 
Corporations give to both the Democrats and the Republicans.  They don't 
care who wins.  It should be illegal to support both sides, because 
that's proof positive that you're only trying to buy influence.  
Corporations should have to choose one side to support or the other, at 
the very least.
