Bei mir kam keine Werbung (jota-text-editor-0-2-39.apk) aber Internet ist
im Smartphone abgeschaltet - vielleicht eine Option für Dich?
Der war ein Top-Kandidat, aber ich bin dann bei Pauls Text Edit gelandet,
da noch kleiner: 128kB <sic> org.paulmach.textedit_15.apk - kann das, was
ich brauche, speichert automatisch, Minimalst-Design. Lediglich die Suche
macht wenig Spaß:
- Start über 3 Klicks bzw. Taps
- Fundstellen schwer sichtbar (im Dark Design)
- kein einfaches "Nächster"
  -> 5 Taps für Suche mit Suchwort aus der History

Müßte man eigentlich halbwegs leicht patchen können, da der Source  
verfügbar und minimalistisch ist:

Leider ist die Hürde für mich trotzdem zu hoch.

Die Möglichkeit der dunklen Darstellung hat Paul erstaunlicherweise sogar  
dem leistungsfähigen Textmaker Free voraus (8,7MB), das ich unlängst für
RTF-Dateien entdeckt habe.
