I denied this for a long time and didn't want to believe it to be true 
but it absolutely is. The only thing that can protect you is a decent 
anti-virus and even them, you have to hope that it is updated regularly.

Absolutely true. I've had to fix other people's computers quite a few 
times because of a failed update and I recall having issues of the sort 
myself with the last three versions. Mine were fairly minimal though.

Had a few MP3s stop loading from this and I had to restore previous 
versions of the same files to fix it so I know this to be true.

Also true and often caused by bad drivers, not even faulty hardware. The 
worst part is that Windows is absolutely terrible at actually telling you 
what caused the issue.

Anyone who installs 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 from scratch knows this to be true.

My last Windows installation was set up and used exactly as Microsoft 
intended with no registry cleaner and even then, it failed. Absolutely 
pathetic when you consider how well paid the developers are and what 
their education was.
