Peter keeps setting the threads up for crossposting and crossposting
himself. He also renamed the threads in dishonest ways... when he does I
often respond by starting a new thread with an HONEST title.

You are whining about my response to his dishonest and immoral behavior. So
which is worse: his dishonest and immoral behavior or my reasonable though
perhaps over-done responses (it would make sense to not respond to his
trolling, or yours, but I tend to anyway).

Clearly you have already made up your mind.

One example: I have a recipe I want to give someone a printed copy of. I
just go to it in my file manager and print. Done.

But that is not even what the topic is... you moved goal posts. *Peter* was
talking about converting other file types to PDF from the file browser...
which was ALSO a change of topic. He never gave a use-case for doing so that
I know of, but he noted he can do it on Linux (though he gave no evidence)
and Owl showed that he could do so for various file types on Linux... and
then I showed I could do much the same on OS X (mine handles more file types
but has a number of weaknesses and is pretty sloppy... but it was done just
to see if it could be done).

Peter then lied about this saying I got my code from Owl. Not only is this
not true, even if it was it would not matter - the discussion was about what
could be done on the different environments.

Thank you! Yes... this seems the more common need: and what *I* was talking
about before Peter moved goal posts. I noted a tool common on the OS X
environment which allows users to not only print and save as PDF, but also
to direct the PDF to be sent to a specific folder (say recipes or web
receipts) or even to be sent to a different program (say to an email
client). 

These things clearly can be done in Linux... save to PDF and select a spot
through a file dialog and then, perhaps, open the file as needed in another
program) but I was noting the nice streamlined workflow.
