Depends. If we know that data is likely to be ten identical chapters of
text concatenated, then we can of course get compression to 10% plus a
little bit of overall size, very easily. But real texts are seldom
structured like that, and the test isn't terribly sensible except
as an informal run to see if behaviour is as we expect. We need to test
on text which repeat words and phrases, but not sentences or higher-level
grammar structures, if we are to assess a text compressor fairly.
