Yes, it does.  I knew it did highlighting, but I didn't realize it
used colors (since I've disabled colors in my terminal emulator).
I don't know whether that's what Bart is referring to.

You can turn off the highlighting using the "-fno-diagnostics-color"
command-line option or by setting the GCC_COLORS environment variable
to the empty string.
