What are the minimum RAM requires now, probably 8GB?  LOL, I remember
Win98 running just fine(1) in 128MB.  And I used it on a 32 bit Pentium
III to write Word docs, create Excel spreadsheets, run Access databases,
do some amateur desktop publishing.  I surfed the web, sent email.

Win11 allows me to do ... pretty much the exact same shit. To be clear,
I'm not nostalgic for Win98, just cognizant of the fact that vastly more
powerful hardware hasnt netted us an awful lot.  Yay, smoother fonts,
animated graphics, transparent effects ... yawn.


1/ Win98 crashed all the time, but not because of a lack of RAM.
