Damit dürftest Du zu einer Ausnahme gehören.

Vielleicht war es nur ein kaputter Kernel. Ich hatte vor mehr als einem
Jahr nach dem Booten eines neu installierten Kernels das Problem, dass
einige Dinge sich nicht starten wollten. In den (systemd-) Meldungen
konnte ich beobachten, dass die Zeit, bis ein Prozess beendet werden
soll, als unendlich eingeschätzt wurde. Ein Reboot half nichts. Google
wusste aber von einem Kernel-Bug. Ich habe dann einen älteren Kernel
gebootet, und er bootete wieder.

Das wäre vermutlich ohne systemd auch passiert.
