Passt mir auch nicht. Aber die xkbset-gui kam nicht nur *nicht* mit einem
von mir installiertem Debian-Paket, sondern war direkt nach Debians
Installation vorhanden. Ggf. aber durch meine Wahl, MATE als Desktop zu
nutzen. Wohl "broken by default".

Ich kann nicht nachvollziehen, ob xkbset-gui Bestandteil von xkbset
ist. Die Beschreibung Letzterens ist:

|  Description: Small utility to change the AccessX settings of XKEYBOARD
|  AccessX is a set of features within the XKEYBOARD extension of the X
|  Window System designed to make X more accessible to users with
|  disabilities. XKEYBOARD is present in X11R6.1 and later. AccessX

Dieser Punkt war mein Anliegen, xkbset überhaupt zu nutzen.

Keine Ahnung, ob noch Support besteht. Ich habe aber drei Gründe
anzunehmen, dass das Paket xkbset nicht mehr wirklich gepflegt wird.

1. Die GUI-Version ist offenbar kaputt.
2. Die Homepage <https://faculty.missouri.edu/~stephen/software>, die in
   der man Page von xkbset angegeben wird, ist tot.
3. Die Angabe "X11R6.1 and later" ist technisch sicher korrekt, aber
   "X11R6" wurde schon vor Jahrzehnten durch "X" ersetzt, dass man es IMO
   heute nicht mehr erwähnen braucht.
