This is some nifty footwork!  Your original claim was to advise the OP
not to use clang as a C compiler because it basically an objective-c
compiler and therefore a bit strange.  Have you found out yet that clang
was originally a C compiler?  Whatever problem you are having with it,
your analogy with second languages does not apply to your original poor
advice.
