What we can't comprehend is how you see trouble with your build system, and conclude that this means llvm was originally written for Objective C and then had C++ support added. As well as being completely incorrect factually, it has no more logic than Sir Bedevere in Monty Python. The non-sequitor anecdote about French just adds to the confusion. You first wrote: "So my conclusion is that it's because C++ was an afterthought, and basically it's intended to compile Objective C. I might be wrong." You were told that you /were/ wrong. The normal response is to say, "okay, thanks for correcting me" - rather than to embarrass yourself with nonsense excuses.
