Indeed. I was assuming fixed values and variable implementations! I'd
picked values for a, b and c that gave, depending on the implementation,
different 0/1 results for the other example (now snipped). For this
example, those values always give zero no matter what the
implementation, but that's not at all what I wrote. (And the error was
not a typing error it was a total lack of brain function.)
