Even the HUD document acknowledges that the land has been eroding
since the 1930s and possibly prior, given that they don't have
documents back farther than that. But maps from as far back as 1743
show a much more extensive coastline. So it's been eroding away since
the last great ice age deposited massive amounts of silt there, I'd
bet. The Chanderleur Sound barrier islands back then were wide enough
to be livable, and the land was much closer to those barrier islands.

So unless you're trying to k'lame that "zOMG! Antheroopimufruc
Glaeobaiel Waeormying! DUUURRRHH!" has been taking place since the
1930s (to include that stretch of documented global *cooling* in the
70s, during which you Klimate Katastrophe Kooks started bleating about
an impending ice age), then it's not due to global warming at all, now
is it?

Yet again, we see a group of people who built on marshy river delta
land, and they wonder why water is eroding their land?

That area is a massive river delta from the last great ice age, you
can see the drainage stretching all the way up into Missouri and
Illinois, where the glacier edge was, and even today the "mighty"
Mississippi (a pale shadow of what it must have been as the glaciers
melted, given that the drainage basin stretches across 1/4th of
Arkansas) drains into that area.

They're outside the levee system, so storm surges erode that silty
land, which is only natural and has been going on for far longer than
humans have been in that area. It's been exacerbated by the levee
system, which channels the water away from that region of the delta,
thus the delta in that area is no longer being built up with silt.

Not global warming, not sea level rise. Especially given that the
planet is *cooling*:

We are, and have been, in a trend of decreasing temperatures over the
past ~7000 years.

The Medieval Warm Period was warmer than today.
The Roman Warm Period was much warmer than today.
The Minoan Warm Period was much warmer than today.
The Egyptian Warm Period was much warmer than today.
The Holocene Climatic Optimum was much warmer than today.

And all through those much warmer climates, humanity not only wasn't
damaged, we *thrived*. We are, after all, a warm weather species.

In point of fact, we're at nearly a low point in global temperature
over the past 10,000 years, only three time periods in the past 10,000
years have been cooler... the Little Ice Age, the glaciation period
preceding the Medieval Warm Period, and the glaciation period
preceding the Holocene Climatic Optimum... and global temperature has
been trending downward that whole time.

With the sun now in a quiescent phase with lower solar output than at
any time since 1750, with even the last solar maximum being called a
"mini-max", combined with the planet's tilt index beginning to drop,
and just as it bottoms out, the planet's precessional index drops,
we're in for a protracted procession of continually lower temperature
records at an increasingly rapid-fire clip.

We're beginning to see this already in Antarctica, where a -160 F
all-time-low record was recently recorded.

Think of it this way... would you rather have a warm climate with
expansive fauna and flora and the ability to feed everyone, or an
ice-bound glaciated frozen hell in which food animals freeze to death,

AGW is the largest scam ever perpetrated upon humanity. And humanity
will not forget it. Heads will roll, literally and figuratively
speaking, when the depth and breadth of the scam is finally revealed.
